A relaxed start to your diving journey
The PADI Scuba Diver course is ideal for beginners who want to become certified in less time. Over two days, you complete the first part of the PADI Open Water Diver course, including theory, pool training, and two open water training dives in the Red Sea.
Theory and pool training
Whenever possible, we recommend completing the theory in advance through PADI eLearning. This makes the practical part of your course smoother and gives you more time to focus on your in-water training. You begin by learning the basic scuba skills in a calm and controlled pool environment. For adult guests, the confined water training takes place in the Cook’s Club pool right next to our dive center. For guests under 18, we use the nearby Club House pool, around five minutes away.
Heading to Abydos Marina
For your open water training dives, we head to Abydos Marina in El Gouna, where your boat day begins. Once everyone is ready, we board the boat and make our way out to the Red Sea for the practical part of your course.
Two open water training dives
During the course, you complete two open water dives under the direct supervision of your PADI instructor to a maximum depth of 12 meters / 40 feet. Here, you apply the skills you learned in the pool, build confidence in real open water conditions, and enjoy your first training dives in the Red Sea.
Surface interval and lunch on board
Between the two dives, there is time to relax on board, enjoy the sea views, and take a break. Water, fresh fruit, and cake are included on board, while lunch, soft drinks, coffee, tea, and snacks are available at an extra charge.
After the second dive
After your second dive, there is time to relax on board as we make our way back to El Gouna. Your instructor will go through the dives with you, answer your questions, and make sure you feel comfortable with the skills you have learned.
Return to El Gouna
At the end of the day, we return to Abydos Marina in El Gouna. From there, you head back to Blue Brothers Diving or your accommodation with new skills, more confidence underwater, and unforgettable first experiences in the Red Sea.
